The "Grande" Final of the FIRS World Cup U20 LIVE Tonight

It's almost finishing. An intensive week of Roller Hockey full of emotion and good hockey will over tonight.

After the semi finals disputed by Argentina-Portugal and Italy-Spain, the countries to play the final were determined.
Thus  Portugal will try to conquer the World Cup one more time against Spain (won the last World Cup in Bassano).

Yesterday an exciting Portugal-Argentina finished with 5-5. In penalties Portugal won the place in the final

In the other semi final Spain won 5-2.

2011 FIRS Roller Hockey World Cup U-20 has Countries and Schedule

After sometime waiting for the registration of national teams, the final schedule is already announced.
There will be 15 countries disputing the World Cup title, in Barcelos, Portugal:

1. Angola
2. Argentina
3. Austria
4. Chile
5. Colombia
6. England
7. France
8. Germany
9. India
10. Italy
11. Portugal
12. South Africa
13. Spain
14. Switzerland
15. USA

Comparing numbers and also teams presented at the last editions of the Tournament, it's possible to conclude that there were a decreasing of 2 teams from 2009 edition, Uruguay and Netherlands. Furthermore countries like Brazil, Ecuador, Macao, Mexico and New Zealand which played the previous competitions, also will not be in Portugal.

Considering the actual crisis time, it's good to see so many countries, coming from all Continents, but of course that one more country would be excellent to avoid the existence of a group just with 3 countries.

2011 FIRS Roller Hockey World Cup U-20

Yesterday 7th May the 2011 FIRS Roller Hockey World Cup U-20 was presented in Barcelos, Portugal.
The World Cup will be played between 11-17 September. Until now the national teams confirmed are:

1. Portugal
2. Spain
3. Italy
4. Chile 
5. Argentina
6. France
7. Switzerland
8. Brazil
9. England
10. Germany
11. Australia
12. South Africa
13. USA
14. Angola

Another countries like Colombia, India, Netherlands, Uruguay that participated in 2009 edition didn't confirm yet, but we hope that they can play in Portugal. Also countries like Andorra , Mozambique, Japan, New Zealand, Israel, Austria, Macau and Egypt, that usually compete in B World Cup should be great surprises if could be present.
