Hey roller hockey fellows! If you love this sport this weekend you have a thousand reasons to stay at home and enjoy roller hockey pleasure for some time. With the 4 greatest teams in Europe this season already found, the European League will have a new champion this year, succeeding to Liceo da Coruna.
I'm almost sure that you know each of this teams but it is always good to remember again:
-FC Porto, the host team, with some of the great Portuguese players nowdays. -FC Barcelona, with the artistic inspiration of Pablo Albarez, with the goal instint of Marc Torra, and with the giant goalkeeper Sergi Fernandez, want to confirm why Barcelona is the most succeesful team on the big hockey club competition (19 titles!!).
-Valdagno, with the unique Pedro Gil, the goal precision of Carlos Nicolia, and the powerfull shot of Sérgio Silva want to take to Italy for the second time ever the EuroLeague Cup, and show to the World that Italy is again rolling among the best.
Who will take the trophy this year??
And of course the most important thing for you, that probably can't watch live in Porto's rink, all matches will be broadcast by several TV, WebTV channels.

Important agreement signed between Cerh and Dartfish.tv
The meeting between Cerh President Fernando Graça, 2nd v. presidente Cesare Ariatti, J.P. Piemontesi and Dartfish manager
On the 31st. of March 2013, in Montreux, Switzerland, CERH signed an important agreement with DARTFISH.,
the Swiss company that has the technical and organisational rights of a
specific television platform, which will be used by CERH TV for the
production and dissemination of images of the different European roller
hockey events. l'or the achievement of this important agreement, it is
important to highlight the work carried out by the CERH Member, Mr. Jean Baptiste Piemontesi , who was responsible for the negotiations undertaken with DARTFISH.
With this link to the DARTFISH platform, the CERH will be able to launch a new initiative — the CERH TV - that will broadcast, live and via web streaming, all the main European Rink Hockey events. I stress the fact that CERH TV
will insure the live transmission of all games of the quarter-finals of
the European League, as well as all the Final 4 matches of all European
club competitions, in particular, the remale Cup, the CERS Cup and the
European league. In addition, can also be displayed on CERH TV
all the games of the 11-17 Male European Championship and of the
European Women Championship, both of them to be held in September.
To operationalize these productions, the clubs will have to ensure - through an application to give free of charge by CERH — the loading of images of their games on the CERH TV
platform, whose videos will be immediately available for viewing by all
users, which could make the upload from the entire match or just from
its highlits. The DARTFISH platform could also be made available, under conditions of hiring very favourable, to all the National Federations, which will be able to take advantage of the capacity of this DARTFISH
platform to upload and watch videos of the games of their national rink
hockey competitions. In this way and through a specific software
programme — and the support of very simple applications -preselected images may be used, in the light of the selection criteria that is freely established - for example, the goals scored, the penalties or the direct free hits,the referees disciplinary sanctions, or the most interesting or controversial actions during the game —
insuring, that way, the use a very useful tool for the analysis and/or
production of specific jobs, to be developed by the technical staff,
athletes, referees and its managers, in particular:
The studies carried out by the coaches, involving technical and
tactical aspects of any game, either in collective terms or in
individual terms (team analysis and/or players evaluations)
An assessment from the Referees Committees, concerning the performance shown by the referees during the matches
The feasibility of this agreement with DARTFISH, also allows CERH TV
to ensure to all the passionate lovers of Rink I{ockey a broader access
to the images of the European competitions, either through live
broadcasts or through the videos that will be available.
It is, thus, a revolution in the field of the rink hockey television dissemination,
allowing the CERH sustain service levels that are so important and
necessary to the support and development of our beloved sport ... Now and in the future!

After many years without Roller Hockey live on TV, seems that situation is changing finally in Portugal and Spain.
There are two main reasons to reach this amazing goal for our sport:
A big effort by federations together with public and private TV's;
Web TV's started to grow and to prove that Roller Hockey still has market.
In Portugal the "Primeira Divisão" (Firs Division) was always broad-casted until some years ago, when the Portuguese Roller Sports Federation stopped the agreement with RTP, public TV.
However the agreement was renovated again and all the season of 2011/2012 will have at least a match broad-casted at 15:00 (+0 GMT Portuguese Time) all Saturdays.
In Spain the agreement was concluded between Spanish Federation and two channels TV3 and RTVE, being transmitted all Monday at 21:00 hours (+1 GMT, Spanish Time) in these channels and also in RFEP TV.
Italy keeps the agreement with RAI (not available by internet out of Italy) broadcasting weekly the games of the Italian league.
Beside the National Federation Agreements there are WEBTV's that also will transmit some matches of each competition. Usually this channels are part of the clubs, but others regional channels like:
These are very important examples, and all Roller Hockey Fans would like to watch soon the same in other countries. It's very important to countries like France, Germany, Switzerland, Brazil, Colombia... where the Roller Hockey wants to reach other lever to guarantee transmissions by television or internet...

Begins the World Cup. Everybody is waiting for this moment, and all over the World there's people that wants to watch Roller Hockey, but there's a big problem. There are no TV's transmitting all the matches. The contract with the Portuguese company "Wall Street" with FIRS gives all the TV rights to this company.
Somebody should change this because until now just 3 TV channels will transmit just the matches of Portugal, Italy and Argentina!!!!!!
A last email make me discover that also FIRS TV will transmit all the matches World Cup Matches like happened in U-20 World Cup.
It's almost finishing. An intensive week of Roller Hockey full of emotion and good hockey will over tonight.
After the semi finals disputed by Argentina-Portugal and Italy-Spain, the countries to play the final were determined.
Thus Portugal will try to conquer the World Cup one more time against Spain (won the last World Cup in Bassano).
Yesterday an exciting Portugal-Argentina finished with 5-5. In penalties Portugal won the place in the final
Who says that our sport doesn't appear on TV???
Since Wednesday, with the U-17 Euro Cup, and now tomorrow with the beginning of U-20 World Cup Roller Hockey will be very busy next days on TV/webTV.
Also for the first time the draw of the European Clubs competitions will be transmitted, live from Geneve, starting at 9h am tomorrow (10h Swiss time).

Concerning the U-17 Euro Cup, will finish tomorrow with an interesting Portugal-Spain at 19:30h (20:30h Swiss Time). Today the results that decided the final matches were:

About the FIRS U-20 World Cup to be held in Barcelos, Portugal, everything appoint to be a great tournament. Seems that all national teams prepared harder to the competition. For the first time in a Roller Hockey Championship all the matches will be transmitted, and countries like India, South Africa, Angola, Colombia... will have the opportunity to see their young players in activity, against some of the best countries, and stars like Gonçalo Alves (just with 19 years, was the top scorer of senior 3rd division in Portugal).
The future of Roller Hockey is Alive and finally we have the opportunity to watch all the moments.

Since last Monday the CERH European Under-17 Roller Hockey Championship started in Geneve, Switzerland. A total of 8 countries are playing the tournament, that finished yesterday the group phase.
The final classification was: Group A: 1stº Spain, 2nd Italy, 3rd Germany, 4th Andorra.
Group B: 1st Portugal, 2nd France, 3rd England, 4th Switzerland
Today will start the knockout stage with the follow matches and time:

The Web TV channel APLisboa TV is back to the portuguese roller hockey!
After the broadcast of some events of (Speed Skating), this channel returns to the roller hockey matches, to show all around the world, great emotions of the end of the 2010/2011 season. After some time preparing this month's events, the official television of the Lisbon Roller Sports Association (Associação de Patinagem de Lisboa), will be live during next 3 weekends, broadcasting exclusive events! With a new image and a new design and some news, the viewers of this channel may see:
- June 10th and 11th - APL CUP's Final 4 - (Ages: Juniores e Iniciados)
- June 18th and 19th - APL CUP's Final 4 - (Ages: Juvenis e Infantis)

Note: APL TV is one of the Portuguese examples (Brunim TV, PA TV, Plurisport, HCTV...), made to give a solution against the fact, that TV's left the regular Roller Hockey transmissions. With the new technologies there's no excuse to don't transmit and watch Roller Hockey.

All the World Roller Hockey Fans know that one of the more important problems of our sport, is the lack of TV transmissions.
Usually the argument is that Roller Hockey is not attractive, the ball is to small...
As we know this is not true and now was proved by Porto Canal/MediaPro director Juan Figueroa Boullosa, in declarations to Mundo do Hóquei.
At last weeks they have been doing weekly transmissions of Portuguese League, He says that "Roller Hockey works good on TV, against what some people usually says. In Portugal is a very famous sport, that has market.Next season is not sure if Porto Canal will keep or not Roller Hockey transmissions.MediaPro is producing these matches cooperating with TA Sport, that got a good advertisement support.
To complete he says:"It is important to refer that without enterprise support, there's not hockey on TV."
This is one more good news, proving that Roller Hockey has everything to be a Top Sport.
Next days a big Roller Hockey TV transmission, will be done from Andorra. Will be the best Club's Roller Hockey Tournament, European League Final 8. There will be links to watch Live on Rolling Together.
